Why I Keep My Starbucks Cup Near Me

I was walking to work today when I had an epiphany. I’ve never been part of the popular crowd and I was pretty sure it was because I dress kind of funny. It isn’t that I’m not fashion conscious. I am really. The thing is, even though I’m forty one years old, my mother insists on dressing me. She does her best, but I feel kind of funny wearing light up shoes to work.
Today, as I looked at the beautiful people walking past me on the street, I realized that it wasn’t the clothes, it was the coffee. Every day I walk in to work carrying a generic looking, discount refill mug while everyone else is sipping their ultra cool custom blended fru fru stuff with foam on the top.
Anyway, I looked around and as luck would have it, an old coffee cup came rolling across the sidewalk! It even still had a lid on it and that special collar they put on the outside so you don’t burn yourself. The cup was from Starbucks! I poured my Maxwell House original blend into the cup before I entered the building and threw away my old mug with Sylvester and Tweetie on the side.
I don’t want to go into too many details, but let’s just say that Starbucks cups aren’t the only thing I pick up around the office nowadays, and now people love the way my shoes blink when I click my heels!
