The typical shelves are attached to the garage wall, usually in two to three foot lengths. Metal shelves are very popular because they can hold a lot of weight and are easy to assemble. Because of the height of the units, you will usually need to put these together after purchase. Once you go past a certain height, you will need to have these attached to the wall so you don’t have to worry about them tipping over.
