Why Do Texas Estate Planning?
Posted by GuestPoster in Legal Matters, Personal Finances
There are many things that can happen if you don’t do your Texas Estate planning before you die. At the least there may be confusion as to who gets what, and possibly fighting amongst your loved ones. To avoid that whole scene you need to make sure that you have all of these things set up before you die.
One thing you will need to do or should do anyway is get a power of attorney assigned. Pick someone who you trust to handle financial decisions and other decisions for you. The powers that you grant them will be up to you. But for a few ideas you may want that power of attorney to be able to handle dealings with the IRS, money transfers and other financial decisions. Plus you should have them able to set up and make amendments to your trusts. With these powers you can avoid the problems that may have arisen after you’ve past on, or were incapacitated and couldn’t do things on your own.
