Why Buy A 4ft Mattress For Children?

It used to be that choosing the right kind of bed and mattress in past years was a lot simpler. These days, not only are there a variety of mattresses and beds to choose from, but lots of other options for bedding as well. Adults, of course, can pick out the kind of bed that is best suited to their liking. It can be based on comfort and style. Children, however, really don’t have that choice. Once they’ve reached the toddler stage, there is really one type of mattress that is best suited for them. And that is a bed with a 4ft mattress.
So what are some of the reasons you would buy a 4ft mattress for your children’s 4ft bed or something similar. Afterall, a bed is a bed where you lay your body in a horizontal position and snooze throughout the night whether you’re an adult and a child. While it’s true that a child can make himself/herself comfortable on any type of mattress, there are practical and economical reasons why a 4ft mattress is a good buy when you have children.
One practical reason for buying a 4ft mattress is because of the amount of space you save in a child’s room. Children love to have all sorts of toys around which somehow seem to take up more space than anything else in a child’s room. Usually, you can buy a bed and mattress about 4 feet in length and have lots of room leftover even in a small child’s bedroom. Not only would you have more space for other furnishings but plenty for what every child wants which are toys. As children get older and toys become less important, you can graduate to a larger sized bed such as a twin bed in which even an adult can sleep on. Of course, a larger bed will take up more space meaning there’ll be less room for other things.
The next reason is economical. A 4ft mattress will cost you considerably less than a regular sized twin bed. Of course, a lot will depend on the type of bed you would buy but for the most part, a 4ft bed and mattress should be considerably cheaper. Along with that, the cost of bedding would also be cheaper because the sizes are a lot smaller than a regular sized adult bed.
Face it. Your children will grow up before you know it. Its expensive raising children as it is. It’s wise to check and see where you can cut corners. Saving on a bed or mattress size is a good move.
