Many people will say they can’t do push ups, push ups aren’t for them. They’re for the super fit, army types.
Who can do push ups? Anyone can but not everyone does.
The push up develops functional strength in the chest and arms to allow you to push your body weight away from an object or surface, the standard push up takes your body away from the ground.
Regardless of your fitness level or profession you will, throughout your day, use these muscles whether it be in the home, the mall, the gym or the workplace.
Having the strength to push your body around is something that is invaluable in your everyday life.
Standard push ups may be too difficult, drop to your knees and do them; it’s much easier and still allows you to develop your upper body for free with no need for exercise equipment.
With some subtle modifications the push up can be adapted to suit everyone’s individual needs.
