Which Is It: Patio Chair Cushions or Pads?

Posted by admin in Home Improvement

When it comes to things like these, the most important thing is that you get something between your rear end and that hard patio furniture so you can enjoy yourself outside.  But, since the question has been posed, we’ll discuss the difference briefly.  Usually, patio chair cushions – chair cushions for short – are talking about the entire seat.  So, this would mean that the cushion went from the seat beneath you up the back of the chair.  Similarly, it could be referring to just the seat portion if the cushion is relatively thicker.

When you hear the term chair pad, it is usually a much thinner cushion for the chair.  These were the most common type years ago.  In fact, they were the ONLY type years ago.  Now, you can find patio cushions that come in all shapes, sizes, colors and patterns.  Even the materials are as likely to be made from state-of-the-art fabric as are your outdoor awnings and shades.  It makes sense really, they both have to weather the sun and other elements outdoors.
