When Might You Need Backup Child Care

While most people either have a regular day care center for their children, or stay at home with them, there are times when you might need temporary child care accommodations. These include:
- Temporary business trips or business hour changes
- Family emergencies
- Vacations (baby sitters need to go on vacations too)
- Illness of a regular caregiver
- Family moves (it is often best to have the children occupied when the family is packing)
- Construction or major repairs on the family home (this can be stressful on children)
If you have a regular child care center, they may be able to point you to the right place for a back up plan. If not a local online directory of child care centers might be the be place to look as most directories provide feedback that will allow you to find a quality child care center.
