What Should You Do To Get Rid Of Mold And Mildew In Your House?

It is really easy to get rid of mold and mildew in your home. If it was my own home, the way that I would start would be by finding out what caused the mold. If it was caused by a lack of ventilation, I would start using the bathroom fan every time that I took a shower. Usually mold and mildew do not grow without a reason. If you can increase the amount of light, improve the circulation, or lower the humidity, you should be able to keep mold and mildew from developing. Before you treat the symptoms, it is more important to make sure you treat the cause of the problem. If I have mold growing in my basement because there is an unusually high level of humidity, I would get a dehumidifier and use that to lower the humidity.
The next step is to get a good quality mold removal product. One of the best products is Lysol mold and mildew removal. To use Lysol, you want to spray this product on and allow it a few minutes to work its magic. The mildew remover will not only kill the fungus that causes mold and mildew, but it will also kill the microscopic spores that can create mold and mildew in the future. After allowing this product to sit for a few minutes, go back with a sponge or a brush and clean the area off again. You won’t be able to see mildew when it is microscopic, but you might be able to feel it starting to grow. Keep cleaning and wiping the area off until it feels smooth and clean. If the mold is on the surface of your drywall and it comes back, you may want to consider using a primer that has mold killer in it. This will help keep it from coming back for a much longer period of time.
