Perhaps you have heard this term recently and are wondering what it means. I’m talking about “portable closets”. What is a portable closet? It sounds kind of funny, I must admit, but the term describes exactly what you’d expect for such a thing.
A portable closet is a mobile storage unit, set up like a closet, for your clothes and clothing related items, such as shoes, belts, and under garments. Portable closets are designed to be light weight, highly portable, and easy to maneuver. They are equipped with handy for easy grabbing and moving. Many times a portable closet has wheels so you can simply push it from one area of the home to another.
Portable closets are made up from light weight materials. With no clothes inside, some models are able to collapse and fold up nicely for easy storage. For the most part though, once set up, they are not designed to collapse – the idea is to always have them up, and available, as a second closet.
Portable closets are popular items for dorm rooms, bedrooms, guest room closets, and for renters who move around a lot and need functional storage space.
