Once you grasp those ideas you aren’t going to be able to lose weight easily, but you are more likely to be successful in the long run.
Weight Loss Simplified – Food as Fuel
As good as the food you eat tastes, the purpose of eating it isn’t really the pleasure that you get from consuming the food. The whole purpose of consuming food is fuel for your body. Each calorie that you eat is used to provide energy for your life functions. Those that are eaten that aren’t needed now are stored for later. The problem is that most of us are eating more than we need an have extra calories stored as fat on the body.
Weight Loss Simplified – It’s All About Balance
If you eat more calories then you burn it is stored as fat. If you eat the same number of calories your body burns then you maintain your current weight. However, if you eat less than your body needs as fuel you will lose weight.
Weight Loss Simplified – Eat Less, Move More
If you are looking at losing weight then you need to eat less and move more. While that sounds simple enough, if you are looking at losing a lot of weight for good it will require lifestyle changes. Each little change that you make will move you in the direction of weight loss!
The only thing about weight loss that can be simplified is the idea. However, when you start thinking of food as fuel for your body, you start thinking about the balance you need to achieve in order to lose weight, and you work on eating less and moving more you will see results.
