Using Wicker for Bedroom Storage

If you’re looking for a way to add some additional storage space in your bedroom, then consider using wicker furniture to give your bedroom an unusual and lovely look. Wicker trunks and chests can hold practically anything, they can be painted any color, and their unique qualities will keep linens inside from smelly musty after long periods of storage time. My biggest reason for likely wicker is that the material itself is very light, and so the furniture that is made out of it is similarly light. You can put a wicker trunk in your bedroom, fill it full of linens, clothes, decorations, and anything else, and chances are you’ll be able to move it with relatively little effort. Wicker is actually just grass or reeds that have been dried, resulting in a very thin, very hard product, and the proof is in how much it can comfortably hold. Which is a lot.
Wicker is also very good at keeping color, so you can paint it anything you want and expect it to look the way you want it to look. With a can of paint, or even just a couple bottles of spray paint, you can expect a finished product that will match the color scheme of your bedroom easily. If you’re using a wicker chest then you can even get away with just painting the outside of the chest. The inside can keep its natural coloring, and even if it’s seen, it will give your furniture even more of a natural look to it. It’s as close to perfect as furniture can come.
So if you’re looking for something new, don’t hesitate to look into wicker furniture. It’s light, convenient, and portable, and therefore will easily fit into any room decor or color. What else can you ask for?
