People generally want to take good care of themselves in order to be in good health. Modern medicine and technology has advanced by many leaps in the last hundred years or so. While it is extremely reassuring that contemporary medicine is around, there are also many, if not thousands of natural remedies that were once practiced with success before our current knowledge of medical technology developed. For some health issues and other ailments, natural remedies still may be the way to go. After all, to be in good health is a natural state and there are many aspects of nature and a natural lifestyle that can support a healthy way of life.

Many of the supplements we take are necessary to get adequate vitamins and minerals for our bodies that we otherwise would not get from our food. Fish oil and nut oils have been known to have omega fatty acids in them which are good for reducing the risk of heart issues and can help with other operations of the body, such as reducing some of the effects of ADHD for instance. Negative fish oil side effects are few, one of the most prominent include getting a bad aftertaste in the mouth or having indigestion.  Eating fatty fish such as salmon is an alternative to the supplements.

Other beneficial supplements of course are vitamins. Some people like taking individual vitamins specific to their needs rather than taking a general multivitamin. The vitamin B family is known help increase energy levels and even ward off symptoms of depression. Biotin, one of the B complexes is known as one of the hair vitamins for thinning hair. It does not stimulate hair re-growth however, unless the body was deficient in the vitamin in the first place. Overall, nature had generally provided an assortment of remedies for all sorts of ailments. Getting your body in balance can be the best health tip of all.
