Turning Any Lamp Into a Touch Lamp

Most of us have come across a touch lamp sometime in our lives. They are, as you would expect, lights that are not turned on by a switch but are instead turned on by simply touching them. They can be more than something to simply play with, they can help set the right amount of light in a room by having a three way dimmer switch or simply make life a little easier. What most people do not know is that any lamp with metal on it can be turned into a touch lamp. This is done through a box that you plug into the wall that measures the difference in electrons in the lamp before and after you touch it, turning it into a touch lamp.
