Truth About Timeshares

There is good news and bad news about the timeshare industry. The good news is that certain consumer protection agencies are beginning to step in and regulate claims made by companies selling timeshares. The bad news is that they have a good reason to step in.
One of the main problems with timeshares is that people are sold on the idea that a timeshare is a real estate investment. This is just not true. All it takes is a little bit of real estate knowledge to realize this. It is nearly impossible to make a profit buying and selling timeshares. It is better to look at timeshares as a vacation club.
This does not mean that timeshares are a bad investment. It just means they should never be considered a real estate investmet.
