The Importance of a Family Pet
Posted by GuestPoster in Pets Galore
Every family should have a pet dog. I know this is a broad statement, and for many families this is a near impossibility, but I can tell you from my personal experience that nothing fills out a family better than having a dog that loves and protects you. You pet dog becomes such an integral part of your family that you will wonder how you ever managed to survive without one.
Of course, there are many reasons why a person can’t get a dog. For example, if you are renting and your landlord will not allow pets, or if you travel a lot and would have difficulty looking after something that needs that much constant attention. One excuse to not get a dog that just doesn’t gel with me though is the expense. No one is asking you to spend thousands of dollars on a purebred poodle or such. There are many places that you can pick up your new best friend for no cost to yourself at all.
If you are looking for free puppies, there are a few different places you can start. Get your local newspaper, quite often a family will find themselves with an unplanned litter of pups on their hand that they are desperate to get rid of. Failing that, call your local council or dog pound. You can even try somewhere like craigslist in order to find dogs that are being put up for adoption. If you do a little hunting, you should have no problem finding this important addition to your family for no initial cost to you.
