The Compact HP Deskjet F380 Is a Smart Choice

Posted by in Computers & Technology

Large businesses and offices require heavy duty service from their equipment.  However, for most home computer users, the HP Deskjet F380 is a very inexpensive and all purpose work horse.  This machine is an all-in-one piece of equipment that will serve all your normal computer needs.  It is not only a printer, but it will make copies and perform as a scanner.  Of course, HP has a great reputation for knowing what the consumer needs and this machine was released in 2007 to serve those needs.

Few of us require the use of a copier or a scanner very often, but certainly consider them to be of great value when they are needed.  The HP Deskjet F380 fits nicely on any desktop, measuring only 6.7 x 16.8 x 10.2 inches and has a clean sharp look.  Setup is a simple matter, with an added feature that prints an alignment page that can be placed on the scanner, which the F380 then uses to automatically align the print heads.

Printing is performed in the usual manner and multiple copies can be made with the copier, requiring only the choice of paper type and number of copies desired before pressing the start button.  When using the scanner, you simply place the item to be scanned on the flatbed scanner and close the lid.  When you press the button to scan, a preview image will appear on your computer screen, which you can then edit if desired.

While the HP Deskjet F380 was not designed to stand up under busy office use, it provides reasonable printing speed of 20 pages per minute in black and as many as 14 pages per minute in color.  The scanner has excellent 1200 x 2400 dots per inch resolution for great imaging.  For the extremely reasonable price of around $80, this is an excellent all-in-one machine for home computer use.
