The Black Skirt Basics
Posted by GuestPoster in Men's and Women's Fashion
All of us have that one skirt in our closet which when worn makes us stand a little taller and walk a little sexier. For me it’s my basic black skirt made of worsted wool. The skirt is lined with this nylon slip and when I ‘slip’ it on, I almost change into a different person. I feel sexier and more feminine in that skirt. What makes a basic skirt so perfect?
Have you thought about what you’ll buy when your favorite is worn out? Here are some things to think about:
The best skirts fit perfectly. They aren’t too big and baggy. They are usually A-line, flare or pencil styles. They’re normally a basic color like black, white, grey or cream. Worsted wool, cotton, denim or leather are the most often chosen for the daily work or play. Chiffon, silk, satin and organza are most often chosen for evening or dressy occasions.
A-line, flare and pencil skirts are the most popular styles because they tend to fit very well and flatter every figure. A basic color like black, white, grey or cream go with everything in our closet. Worsted wools, cottons, etc all wear well through every season. Chiffon and silks are the ideal dressy occasion fabrics.
