A new age of digital textbooks, seems to be emerging. We are at a point where digital textbooks are easily available and many trials are being implemented this fall.Because of California’s never ending struggle to balance the budget, the Governor signed a textbook initiative which will start implementing e textbooks in schools this fall. The States largest expense is education and switching to e Textbooks will save the state millions.If the trial is effective, and the money is saved, you know that other states, will be soon to follow, since most states are grappling with budget shortfalls this year, and education is a huge expense on most State systems.At least a third of all College textbooks are also in digital format. New online dealers are emerging, while traditional textbook dealers are putting up their own version of online e textbook stores.
