I went to Salisbury Beach MA today to try my luck fishing in the Merrimac River. It was cold! Just my luck. Probably the last good Monday to enjoy a relatively empty park. I spent most of my time hunched over in my seat, bundled up like an eskimo.

I guess it wasn’t that bad but these cool spring days can be a real bummer after experiencing some nicer warm weather for awhile. The park folks were all over the place. Getting ready for the first big weekend of the season I guess.

I did not have any luck fishing but all in all a bad day fishing does beat a day at work every time.  The water was nice and calm but the river flow is strong and pulls your bait all over the place. At least having to reel in my line and casting regularly kept my blood flowing.
