Songs About Travel

There are so many songs about travel out there now days that sometimes it gets down right intimidating when the road trip mix CD assignment falls into your hands. No matter what step one will always be, Don’t Panic. You knew it was going to be your turn eventually and you knew there was no way to avoid this responsibility, so take a deep breath, belly up to your computer and get ready. You’re going to want songs that 1) Everyone knows (if everyone can sing along to them without feeling self conscious then all the better). 2) Keep the energy level up (it’s not a road trip if you aren’t spending too many hours on the road to be a safe driver) 3) Will keep the driver awake when the rest of you jerks fall asleep on him before you even get to Arizona (Sorry, flashbacks) and 4) Cover a range of topics, from traveling through Bermuda and Bahamas (come on pretty mama) to traveling Everywhere, Man to traveling through Route 66 (okay, so topics are pretty much limited to travel). You can do this. Don’t panic.
