For example, if you love baking, and can’t stop trying out a new chocolate chip cookie recipe, you can reduce other kitchen equipments to make space for your beloved baking equipments. Secondly, you need to reduce your kitchen utensils and accessories. If you are living with your husband, all you need are 2 sets of utensils, preferably another set of extras. Thirdly, do not overstock on dry food such as can food, as you will need all the space. For reusing kitchen space, you need to empty and keep the kitchen counter tops clean, and storing the small appliances in the cabinets. Try to use the kitchen tops only when you need to prepare your food. In this way, you will always have a clean and spacious kitchen counter.
To improve on your kitchen’s appearance, you will need bright lights. A well lighted kitchen looks bigger and more spacious. In addition to the ceiling lights, you can have wall lights and cabinet lights too. Placing small lights on the bottom of the cabinets will enlarge the counter top and make your cooking space look larger. Another method to extend your kitchen is to place mirrors. Mirrors have the magical effect of extending the kitchen room. There is one point to take note of if you are installing mirrors in the kitchen. Mirrors require regular cleaning as the oil stains will be easily noticeable.
