We have all seen garden lights on display at our local hardware store. Some lights are decorative and some are plain and ready to do the job. But what is exactly the purpose of this landscape lighting? One purpose of landscape lighting is to light up your walk areas at night. This is an inexpensive solution to your darkened walk way. With safety being a concern for many, your guests walking out to their vehicle at night will help light their way. Another purpose for the garden lights is fashion. Yes, garden fashion.
With outdoor garden fashion on the rise, these lights help to add lighting in the areas that you would like everyone to see at night. The garden light certainly adds so much to a garden during dusk and in the evening. Depending upon just how many of these lights that you install will depend on how much lighting you will have when it is dark. Be sure to plan ahead where you would like to place the lights. If you have not purchased your plants for your yard make sure to consider the lighting around them. Don’t forget to remember that your plants will grow. Place the lights far enough away from the plants so that they do not grow over the lights. If you already have your plants and you are just now adding the lights, before your purchase, take a flash light out to your yard at night and test different areas and angles for your lights. This will help give you an idea for your garden lighting placement.
