Playgrounds Are Even Safer

Thanks to repeated spotlights, inquiries and health warning about the possible adverse effects of synthetic grass there has been a lot of technological work gone into its improvement. Most notably is the crumb rubber infill that is now getting replaced by recyclable materials that are non-toxic and stable. Children’s playgrounds are benefitting from the work with many of the play equipment areas requiring a fall-safe surface underneath them. Instead of using rubber, the synthetic turf provides maximum cushioning thanks to thermoplastic materials. We can be reassured that there will be no risk of the children breathing in pollutants from the ground covering, in fact, it is even safer than if the ground were covered with natural products such as grass or tree bark which both conceal naturally existing bacteria.
