Pizza is also known as a pizza pie, and it’s a popular world-wide dish. Pepperoni is one of the most often used meat toppings on pizza in the United States. In pepperoni pizza the pepperoni and cheese are spread atop a bed of tomato sauce, garlic and vegetables.
The other ingredients in pizza include tomato or spaghetti sauce, olive oil, mozzarella or pizza cheese, salt, pepper, garlic and oregano. Pepperoni is one of the favorite pizza toppings, and it’s also used in making pizza-style sandwiches. Pepperoni pizza has descended from the Italian spicy Salami, but it has become a dish that’s Italian-American in nature. It’s made up of a variety of dry salami’s, prepared with other meats like beef and pork. The name comes from the original word “Peperone”, which in Italian means bell pepper.
