Oolong Tea and Blood Pressure

Weight loss tea has been used for quite a few different conditions over the years, but did you know that it has also been widely used in the treatment of hypertension, also known as high blood pressure?
Quite a bit of research has been performed on the use of oolong tea in the treatment of hypertension. In one study, it was discovered that people who drank about half a liter of oolong tea per day were almost 50% less likely to develop high blood pressure. The risk was reduced even further by those who drank more.
The exact mechanism of action is not known, but it is thought that the high concentration of antioxidants in Chinese weight loss tea help strengthen and relax blood vessels, allowing the pressure to drop.
