NYC interior designers are in a high demand in NYC, but also everywhere else around the world. NYC and perhaps on the same sort of scale, Los Angeles designers are some of the most desired due to both cities being the “mecca” of design and fashion. Most great styles and fashions start out in NYC and Los Angeles and filter through out the United States and thoughout the world.
When remodeling a home in NYC or Los Angeles, you might want to consider an interior designer if you can afford it, but if not, you could go the cheaper route of going to look at homes for sale in your area to see what works and what doesn’t. Remodeling in Los Angeles and NYC can be challenging to say the least, but you’ll definitely want to tour not only homes in your neighborhood, but possibly your block depending upon the make up of your neighborhood and if it has sharp contrasts.
When remodeling a house, you definitely want to focus on the kitchens and bathrooms. Kitchens and bathrooms are what people look for and those are the two rooms that yield the best return on your money.
Before going through the routine of looking at a lot of designs, there are a few
questions you want to ask yourself. First of all, will you be in the house short term or long term? If you are going to be in the house short term, I would caution about remodeling at all. Perhaps, you want to spend your money on your next home because it’s unlikely you will see any return on your investment unless you are living in a distressed property. If you are living in the property long term however, you might want to consider remodeling, but remember that the more exotic you get in your design, the more difficulty you might have if you decide to sell your home.
