Water fountains are available in many different types and designs and they can be bought depending on the taste of individuals. Water fountains add tranquility to the area as many people find the sound of water very soothing. Fountains made for home and office are usually placed on shelves and tables and are quite small in size. Some kinds of fountains are also used to hang on the walls. Indoor water fountains usually have a circulating system for water. However it is important to keep checking the water levels to make sure that the water has not evaporated and if this happens then they need to refill the fountain.
The outdoor water fountains also have a circulating system. There are however, some unique kinds of fountain which are placed in ponds and the fresh water is the source of water running in the fountain.
Outdoor water fountains can fit any landscape design as they come in huge range of styles. Some are as large as five feet and stand in tiers. These kinds of fountain can cost up to two thousand dollars or even more in some cases. However, water fountains are a great investment and worth the amount you pay for the beauty they add to your garden and yard. In addition, they attract wildlife into the garden.
Also available are indoor and outdoor wall fountains. These have flat backs and are used to hang on the walls. There is usually a design on the back such as geometric shapes and scrolling flowers. There are holes on the top of the fountain from which water runs out. The water is then caught in the base area and pushed up again to the holes. This is how water is circulated in the fountain. However, it is important to check the water level occasionally so the water doesn’t drop low which can cause damage to the fountain.
