If you are thinking of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse, better known by the acronym LPN then you really should be considering which LPN school and which LPN program to enroll on. One of the great advantages of the LPN qualification is the comparative shortness of the qualification and study program.
Most LPN programs typically last between 12 months and 15 months, although some are up to 2 years in length. The shortness of this study period means that becoming an LPN is a great way to get on the first rung of the ladder in your nursing career.
Once you have qualified as an LPN you can then go on to get some work experience from a variety of LPN jobs, or you can choose to further your nursing career by moving on to an LPN to RN course.
