Life Insurance and Stress
Posted by GuestPoster in Insurance
Did you know that your stress level can increase your life insurance premium? If you are in a job that is inherently stressful, such as a customer service representative or a technical support representative, your base stress level is going to be significantly higher than it would be for another person just like you, but in a different vocation.
So, where does your life insurance price come into this? Insurance companies build their policies based around hundreds of thousands, if not millions of bits of statistical data that they use to assess risk. In doing so, they know that a person who is in a stressful job is much more likely to develop high blood pressure, heart disease, and other medical conditions later on in life. Thus, the life insurance premium is increased accordingly.
