Lanyards Are For More Than Name Badges

When you need to keep track of small items there is no better way than using a lanyard. The item simply attaches to the lanyard. It goes around your neck and no more worries about misplacing things. Lanyards are great for this as they come in just about any color you would want and thus will match any outfit or jacket. Many large businesses require their employees to wear a name badge and most of them are attached to a lanyard and placed around the neck. This makes the badge easily seen and employees readily identified. It is also a convenient to carry the badge as it doesn’t clip onto a shirt or need a pin to poke holes in clothing to be worn.
Lanyards aren’t just for work. Although that is where a person tends to see them the most, they are also found on teen age males being used as key chain. However they never are found around the neck with this group they are always dangling from a front pocket with the keys secure inside. Sometimes it seems that kids are more interested in using something in manner totally opposite of the way their parents do and sometimes it works out well and becomes a fashion statement. That is what the lanyard hanging from the front pocket really is, they can say, “It’s my keychain,” but they are more interested in showing off the fact that they can drive and have a cool, semi-rebel lanyard hanging form their pants.
Well, they are keeping track of small items, but doing it in an irritating, smug manner. Sort of obeying the letter of the law, but not quite the spirit. Letting it go is the best course of action as sooner or later that rebellious streak will give way to a practical one and that lanyard will really come in handy then.
