3. There are many great breakfast recipes using quinoa. Most people do not realize that you can toast quinoa and make a crunchy topping for yogurt. You can also mix quinoa with other grains, like oatmeal, and make a great morning cereal. Top it with berries and nuts and you have got a delicious and healthy morning meal.
4. While I have many quinoa recipes a favorite one around my house uses quinoa rather than breadcrumbs to make meatballs. I don’t even think that my children know that I also throw in shredded carrots and zucchini. It’s like a complete meal in a meatball!
5. A great way to get used to eating quinoa is simply by substituting quinoa in your favorite dish. Quinoa can be substituted for any grain – oatmeal, rice, amaranth, couscous – you name it! If you like chicken and rice, try making the dish with quinoa to improve the nutritional content.
