How To Keep You Bamboo Shoe Collection Organized

Keeping a shoe collection organized can be a lot of work, particularly if you love your shoes and pride yourself in your collection. There are several steps you will need to go through to sort out your shoes and get them organized.
First, make sure every shoe has a pair. If you find a solo bamboo shoe, but think you know where the pair is, set a timer for ten minutes to find it. If you can’t find it within ten minutes, you are not going to find it. That shoe can be thrown away.
Next, be honest about what shoes you will and will not wear again. If you have platform character shoes from the 70′s, ask yourself why. Do you get a sense of nostalgia keeping your old shoes? Do you have photos from the era that would give the same sense of nostalgia without taking up the space? if you decide to keep all of your shoes, you will want to put the ones that you will never wear in their own pile.
Now, on that note, make piles based on how frequently you wear shoes. You will want a pile for the few pairs that you wear every single week. Then you will want a pile for shoes that you wear at least once a month. Finally, there will be a pile of shoes worn a few times a year, like your black stilettos, and shoes that you never wear.
The shoes that you never wear can be put in a box in the back of your closet. There is no reason to continue tripping over them when you are trying to find your favorite flats. The rest of the shoes you will want to have placed in order of accessibility. Shoes that you wear every week should be most accessible. If you are using an over the door shoe organizer, they should be at eye level. If they are on a floor shoe rack, they should be on the bottom shelf so that you can slide them off with you feet. The key to any successful organizational system is to have the stuff that you don’t use to be not accessible, and the stuff that you use the most the most accessible.
