There are tips to help you win when bidding on online auctions. 4 general rules are given below as follows:
1) Also set a ceiling bid, this is the highest amount you are willing to pay for that item and don’t go over that amount. With eBay, view completed listings and see what similar items typically sold for. This will also give you a good idea of what you can expect to pay.
2) You must be patient and not bid on it until the end of the auction. If you bid early, you will have to outbid the current bidder and will almost certainly pay more for the item.
3) Ideally, you want to submit your bid during the last 10 to 15 seconds. If you get out bid, you likely have one more chance to bid and can steal the auction in the last few seconds. Having to browsers open at a time may make it easier to place a second bid.
