How Coffee Makers Brought Simplicity To My Life

I’ve always been a very complex man. For some reason I would always do things the long way, and I’d often over complex situations when I didn’t need to. I’m not sure why I did this, but it was probably because my farther did pretty much the same. For example, instead of knowing I wanted a star wars toy and picking up a Luke Skywalker figure next time he was at the shops, instead he’d go round to all the local shops over a couple of days and look at all the ones available. After that he’d have a day or so to think about which one would be right for me and then went and bought the Luck Skywalker figure.
Now don’t get me wrong, while I appreciate the thought and effort that went in to getting me that figure and some of the other things in life, the method that was used (Which was the method that was passed down to me) is ridiculous. Why take so long to come to the same conclusion that you could have come to a long time before?
I used to make decisions and then go around for ages trying to confirm it was the right decision. I would waste so much of my life doing this that I had to make a change. Often, the first decision I made was the right one, I just needed to confirm it. For example, when I had to buy coffee makers for my business, I had a quick look and found a set of coffee makers that looked ideal. But then I spent ages looking around some more for the best coffee makers and guess what I found? After the hours of extra research, the ones I initially thought were perfect were just that, ‘perfect’.
I now keep everything simple and trust my initial judgment. I’ve learned that it’s often right.
