How Best to Use Solar Powered Outdoor Lights
Posted by GuestPoster in -The Great Outdoors
If you are going to incorporate solar powered lighting into your garden design scheme, you need to make sure you are using it appropriately because it isn’t suitable for every situation. The beauty of solar powdered outdoor lights is that they are quick and easy to install, and they are free to run so long as they can ‘access’ enough sunshine to power their batteries. Modern solar lights don’t need wall to wall sunshine any more to make them work – around 4 hours of most types of daylight will surfice.
The one place I wouldn’t recommend solar powered lights is in a situation where you are installing lights solely for the purpose of security. As part of an overall scheme they can help with the security of a home, but they wouldn’t be my first choice for a number of reasons. Te type of light they emit is not best suited to lighting up large areas of a property, and the intensity of the light can sometimes be too dim to make an area bright enough. For security lights I will always go with conventional light fixtures.
