The color pink is a combination of two colors. Different shades can be made up of two different colors. The color of pink is achieved through the combination of white and red. Other shades of pink may be from the combination of magenta and white, rose and white or it can be from orange and white. Its color can denote purity and energy. In the 1920s, the color pink was assigned to a gender. This was deemed to be more appropriate for boys because of its relation to red. It was believed to be a color to have a more masculine look. For girls, blue was the assigned color. This was in relation to the color of the Virgin Mary and it was viewed as a more dainty and delicate color. This view of the pink color among both genders was viewed until the 1940s, where the color assignment for each gender was inverted. Pink was now viewed more suitable for women and blue was for men.
In terms of fashion, it has always been known that pink can be very suiting for a woman. From her clothes to the use of hot pink accessories, a woman can never go wrong with pink. The color pink is now known to be more of a feminine color and represents a woman’s femininity. A woman can choose to have pink in most of her apparel and even in her home decors. The pink color can make a woman look flashy, professional, flirty or whatever look she wants to portray. She can have pink as the color of her clothes, comprising the majority of her outfit. She can also choose to use pink to accent her outfit. Pink can go well with black and other colors. It can allow a woman to portray an energetic personality depending on how she carries the use of the color on her outfit. Aside from clothing, a woman can also use pink in her home. For single ladies, using pink in the bedroom, kitchen, living room and other parts of her house can show off her femininity.
The growing use of pink has no longer been contained for women’s clothing alone. It is now also used as a color for the use of gadgets. Because of the advancing age of technology, the use of laptops, touch screen cellular phones and the likes has been a common feat among individuals. Using hot pink accessories for these gadgets can add not the feminine personality of any woman using them.
