HD Projector Placement

When designing your home cinema project one important consideration is the placement of your HD projector. You will often see advertisements for home cinema set-ups where the HD projector is set on a ledge that is coming down from the ceiling, or perhaps some sort of pedestal in the center of the room.
The important thing to consider is the degree to which the HD projector, when not in use, becomes an obstacle in the room. It may be your home cinema room has a dual use, in which case you are likely to want to position the HD projector in a location in the room that is not in the way.
The ledge hanging down from the ceiling is one method of achieving this and has the added advantage of meaning that the HD projector does not have to be regularly moved and then set up again.
