Good Garage Roofing Jobs Require Roofing Quotes

Never trust your garage roofing professional more than you have to. I am not trying to scare you, nor to bad-mouth a whole profession. I just want to make you understand that something like the integrity of a garage roof is much to important not to be at least a little prepared for the worst case roofing-scenario.
Most roofing service contractors are probably alright. Honest, trustworthy companies who know and understand the value of communication with their customers. But misunderstandings do occur, and there will always be a few bad apples in a bunch of good ones. Which is exactly why you need any roofing quotes you get to be specific and as detailed as possible. Would you buy a car if you could not be told its specifications before committing to a purchase? If the seller would not tell you how fast it will go, what the mileage is, if the AC is working, etc? Probably not. Having a good garage roof to protect your car is also rather essential to most people – and yet, far from all people demand to know any sort of detail beforehand, when hiring a roofer. For all they know, they could be getting a roof made of daffodils glued on with ketchup – they won’t know until the roof is so far underway that it is too late to cancel the deal. Can you hear the roofer going: “Sorry madam, but I already took delivery of the chocolate roof trusses, so it’s too late to change your mind”?
No – you need to make sure that anyone serious about roofing a garage for you will write you a roof quote which contains at least a tentative list of materials and an estimate of how long it will take. There is nothing to stop you from having a finishing date set in stone if you want to – but if you are in a rush it may cost you more. It is your roof – demand to know the nature of the work that goes into it – before you pay.
