For this reason it is very important that you get them involved in the task so that they know they always have a place to run to.
Although you may have more of a struggle in front of you by allowing them to voice their own input when it comes to their bedroom décor, the end result will be a room that both of you can tolerate. Keep in mind that sometimes it is ok to let them win the smaller battles because in the end you still can claim victory over the larger battles such as keeping them at home and safe which anyone can agree is the best outcome.
