Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Some people use garlic as a natural remedy for coughs and other use garlic often in the foods that they make. In fact, for most families you can hardly go a week without using this great spicy. Spaghetti sauce, spiced meats, and Chinese cuisine all use garlic abundantly. Maybe it is because of my heritage but I find the use of garlic with potatoes to be a nice combination.
One of my favorite kinds of mashed potatoes is garlic mashed potatoes. Whether you use white or red potatoes either of them is better when you add garlic. Boil your potatoes for about 20-25 minutes depending on the amount, use the mixer to blend your potatoes, butter and milk. Once they are just about done, take some diced garlic or garlic powder and BAM, you have a great mashed potato.
