In many cases it is necessary to buy an extra wide baby gate for your home. Lets say you need to keep your baby out of your kitchen or need to keep your baby from going down the hallway. In both of these cases a standard baby gatewill not do the trick and you will need to find one that can be used in extra wide areas.
Luckily manufacturers know this and have manufactured some of these gates for these special needs. These type of baby gates have become quite popular actually because there is a great need for them and boy are hey a lifesaver for many families. Look for them at places like target, wal-mart, and babies r us. Check with all the major retailers.
