Many people may not know this, but vinyl is one of the most inexpensive materials that you can choose from your window covering needs. A lot of people much prefer the look and feel of wood, they love the natural warmth that it adds to a home, and while I must agree that wood shutters are beautiful, they are extremely expensive, and most of us are not in a situation financially where we can afford that amount of money to be outlaid on our windows.
Vinyl actually has a bit of a bad rap. Because it is so cheap to manufacture (and therefore buy), many seem to think that it is a somehow inferior product. Truth be told, vinyl is actually extremely strong, and a set of exterior vinyl shuitters will last even longer than their wooden counterparts.
