Encourage Your Child To Read

Children should be encouraged to read from an early age. Reading will develop a child in many ways and there are so many good books to suit all ages. Books that immediately come to mind are Goosebumps, The Hobbit, Harry Potter, Noddy, Baby Sitters Club, Chronicles of Narnia, Peter Rabbit, Alice in Wonderland, Mr Men and Dr Seuss books. With such a selection of reading material a child could never lack for excitement in their life. Many adults have fond memories of their Mom or Pop reading bedtime stories to them when they were young. One never forgets the characters discovered in these stories when a child. As soon as a child can read by themselves they should be encouraged by parents to develop an affinity with books and to start a reading habit that will continue throughout their lives. Books have the ability to transport you to another world and the sheer release from modern day pressures is a boon to adults and children alike.
