Do’s And Don’ts With Stained Concrete II
Posted by GuestPoster in -Home Improvement
Most concrete colorants are metallic salts dissolved in a dilute acid solution. The concentration of acid, and concentration and type of the salts may be altered to create different effects and tones of color. After adding, the moist concrete may be ‘finished’ using brushes or templates or varying descriptions to create almost any desired look. That’s why concrete is the ideal blank canvas for the paintbrush of your imagination.
The dye effects may be used to create earthy colors, metallic or rusty tones, false marbles, woods or even a leather effect.
The colored concrete is ideal for creating the most modern of glossy industrial-look flooring in lofts, houses, or anywhere where a pure, uniform color and texture may be required. Some dramatic effects can be created using this method. Pool decks, drives and patios are also common uses for concrete staining.
