What is the one thing that sales people hate doing but that needs to be done on a consistent basis if a pipeline is to be kept stocked with quality leads? Yes, it’s cold calling!
But it’s not easy to do and many sales people avoid the activity like the plague! One of the reasons for that is because they have never been taught how to cold call effectively. Too many sales managers treat the whole issue of cold calling as a “numbers game”, just giving their sales execs a list of names and telling them to get on with it.
This is not a particularly intelligent approach.
With the right cold call training, sales professionals can learn how to cold call much more effectively, achieve far better results, and even learn to enjoy it a little!
