Usually, a kitchen floor plan is composed of cabinets, islands and a certain area where the family can eat and gather. Here are a few suggestions that you may want to consider when trying to configure your kitchen.
One of the simplest kitchen designs that you might find is that wherein the cabinets are along one wall only. If you have a long and narrow kitchen, this kind of layout may be the right one for you. However, we must also bear in mind that this style is somewhat least functional. Make sure that if you go with this kind of plan, the sink should be in the center and the oven should be close to the fridge so that food preparation could be done easily. The kitchen lighting will be easy to set up with just one bulb in the center.
Galley kitchens are the most n types that are often seen in smaller homes and in apartments. It is mainly composed of cabinets along two opposite walls. This kind of kitchen is effective if you want to save and make use od space. The big disadvantage, however, is that it is not conducive for family members to gather in the kitchen area. since there is little space, traffic is created making ti diffcult to cook food with so many people around.
An L shaped kitchen is the easiest type of kitchen to work in. it can maximize space because all the appliances will be situated near the L area, but enough space shold be alotted so the cook can work freely. You also have the option to add some bar stools so family members and friends can gather and talk while food is being prepared.
