Can food cause migraine headaches

It is true that for some people food can be a major cause of migraine headaches. This however is not a rule because it is not true for all people. Some people who are sensitive to migraine headaches may initiate a crisis by eating some types of food but for other people the same foods may not cause migraines. This idea is exaggerated because some companies tried to gain advantage from the fact that for some people certain foods cause migraines.
Research from many years among patients that suffer from migraine headaches proved that some types of foods and drinks may cause migraine headaches to some people. However this does not in any way mean, and has not proven that certain foods will always be a cause of migraines in all people. It is also a fact that the same food, for the same people may not always be a cause for migraine headaches. For example a patient may get a migraine crisis when eating some type of food, but at some other time the same patient may not get a migraine when eating the same type of food.
It is important that doctors who make this type of diagnosis are very careful. They should not forbid any food type from the patient unless it is proven that this food type can cause migraines. Also patients should not just remove any food type from their diet just because they suspect that they may cause them migraines.
