Whether you choose to buy LED landscape lighting kits or stand alone lights fixtures, here are a few things to look for when buying LED landscape lighting
• Insist on buying from well known lighting companies. One will find there are hundreds of lighting companies who are able to offer the lowest prices on LED landscape lighting, however, find out what type of warranty they offer? How long have they been in business? Where are the LED lights manufactured? Companies which have been in the industry for years are determined to uphold their good reputations and to this end, they are more than prepared to offer a good warranty on lighting, and the assurance that the LED landscape lights are of the best quality.
• Find out what the lumen output of the lights are! Lumens indicate the volume or amount of light emitted by LEDs, incandescent bulbs, etc. Many people assume that the high the watts, the brighter the lights will be – this is not the case, the brightness is measured in Lumens, therefore high lumens equates to brighter light.
• Try to find LED landscape lighting fixtures that will suit your garden, or patio. If you are trying to create a relaxed, informal garden, try and find suitable fixtures. There are so many types of choices on the market, one will easily be able to source suitable LED landscape lighting fixtures for their outdoor lighting needs.
• Buy only UL listed LED light products rather than UL compliant LED lights. The UL listed LED landscape lighting fixtures are the only lights which have been put through a battery of stringent tests, therefore making them 100% safe and an indication of their overall good quality.
• Do not be fooled or tempted by LED landscape lighting choices which are too cheap. Sadly, many of these products are inferior, have not been properly tested. Bear in mind that there is always a reason why a company is able to sell LED landscape lighting at prices way below their competitors.
