Buying a Canon Printer

Posted by in Computers & Technology

Getting a Canon printer is probably one of the better things you can do for your productivity. If you look at Canon’s recent offerings, you’ll find printers that are extraordinarily portable, plus have small price tags. If you do a lot of traveling, a Canon printer is exactly what you’ll want to have, trust me. Tonight we’re going to talk about the PIXMA printer, one of the premier Canon offerings that’s taking the office world by storm.

The great thing about this Canon PIXMA printer is that it can be used on a wireless network. You heard right: You can pack it with you wherever you’re traveling and you’ll always have a printer. You don’t have to bother with time consuming setup or any sort of driver installation if it’s being used on a computer you’ve never used before. Just connect and go. One thing you should realize before you go to the store is that they don’t all come with such good wireless capability. Some of them have ethernet systems attached, and some don’t. If your PIXMA printer doesn’t have its own wireless setup, you’ll just have to connect it to your router or switch before you can use it. Easy as pie. If you opt for one of the better models, say, the MP560 or MP640, you get straight wireless capability. No router or switch interface; you can just connect straight to the printer itself. Neato.

If you really want to spend some money, check out the Canon PIXMA MX860. This is the top of the line model from Canon, and is actually what’s called an “All-In-One” printer. It doesn’t just print photos, it prints everything. Of course you wouldn’t want to spend all this money unless you were getting something good out of it right? Absolutely: This Canon PIXMA comes with built-in wireless capability. Take it wherever you want and it’ll work flawlessly. We like it.
