Beautiful China for Plate Collectors

A friend of mine who is a collector of antique plates had me started on my own collection when she first gave me a Johnson Brothers dinnerware piece as a birthday present. I am not a woman who usually likes collecting antique items especially since I find it much of a hassle to care for them. They are just too delicate and breakable, and too expensive to boot But that dinner set piece she gave me was just very beautiful and elegant that I found myself wanting to own more. What she gave me was a part of a collection called ‘Johnson Brothers Blue Coaching Scenes’ which was embellished with blue intricate patterns in the edges of the traditionally shaped plate. The main design shows men riding a coach pulled by three horses along a peaceful scenic view. The design is so picturesque, so vivid and rustic that I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. Now, I am obsessed with Johnson Brothers china pieces and I am proud to say that I have quite a huge collection now. They sit mightily and proudly in my antique cabinet I most especially bought just to show off my collectible Johnson Brothers plates. I have strategically placed them in my dining room for all my guests to view and enjoy. So far, it has never failed to impress. In fact, a lot of my friends are now jumping in the band wagon and starting their own collections. The elegance and the exquisiteness of the plates are just perfect accent pieces for the house. Aside from that, they are great family heirlooms too Right now I am hoping to purchase a brand new piece from the ‘Old Britain Castle’ collection and hopefully, I would have the chance to own more beautiful pieces from the Johnson Brothers dinner sets and collections.
